Keys Setting for WinKawaks Emulator

Start setting up your joypad of joystick keys setting for WinKawaks Emulator to play NeoGeo game with Controller and enjoy classic games on computer.

Let's do the keys setting for WinKawaks Emulator which is an emulator to play old arcade NeoGeo games. So many of the users ask for Keys setting about inserting Coin/Credit to start playing the game. I have replied to them with the default keys but now I have decided to give a Tutorial that will guide easily to everyone without replying them again and again about the default keys. This tutorial guide, to see the Default Keys of WinKawaks Emulator for Player 1 and Player 2 as well as changing of default keys and redefining them or reset your Joypad or Joystick for Playing Games in WinKawaks Emulator.

I have posted and shared many of the Classic small games, which can be downloaded from “Games Portion” and I will share many more in near future.

Back to the Topic, WinKawaks Emulator only Runs SNK and Capcom platform games, which are the most popular Classic games. See the default keys for both Player 1 and Player 2 and you may edit them accordingly by redefining new keys.

WinKawaks Emulator’s Default Keys for Player 1

*The Keys highlighted with “Yellow” Colors are important and usable keys during the Game, the rest of them are not as necessary as the highlighted ones.

Whereas: Up/Down/Left/Right use for the same functions, F3 to insert Coin(s), F1 to start the game with Player 1, while A, S, D, F, X and C are Buttons as sequences Button1 to Button6.

Note: After loading any game, do press F3 to insert credit/coins for playing the game.

WinKawaks Emulator’s Default Keys for Player 2

*The Keys highlighted with “Red” Colors are important and usable keys during the Game, the rest of them are not as much compulsory as the highlighted ones.

Change Default Keys with Joypad / Joystick for Player 1

1. Start WinKawaks Emulator, Pause emulator after loading any Game (Enter Key).
2. Go to “Game} Redefine Keys…}Redefine keys Player 1…” as shown above image.

3. “Blue” highlighted keys are important So change only highlighted Keys with your Joypad1 for Player1.
4. Just use your Mouse and Left Click on “UP” then start pressing Joypad keys one by one to configure Joystick/Joypad.
5. When reaching Button6 (Old Key=C) then just jump to the Start button (Old Key=F1) and Coin button (Old Key=F3) by clicking on boxes and assigning new Joypad keys to them and Press “OK”.

6. Time to save them permanently, Go to “Game” and Hit “Save settings to .ini now”.

If have another Joypad and want to configure it as Player 2 then proceed to below Step 7 and onward otherwise you have done it here.

Change Default Keys with Joypad / Joystick for Player 2

7. Now go to “Game} Redefine keys…} Redefine keys Player 2…” see above image.

8. Green highlighted keys are important, so change only them with Joypad2.

9. Left Click on the “UP” box (Old Key=U) and start replacing keys with Joypad2 one by one, after assigning “Button6” (Old Key=PageDown/PGDN), jump to Start (Old key=F2) and Coin (Old Key=F4) and replace them with Joypad2 keys then Press “OK”.

10. Do the same (as shown in step 6) by going to “Game” and Hitting “Save settings to .ini now”.

Configure Player 3 and Player 4 by repeating same steps as shown above.
